The Groove Black / Spool Effect

Spool Effect was formed in far North Idaho by friends with a love for diversity in musical styles and the openness of improvisational music. Their music is deeply rooted in the mindset that being able to dance, move or even a head nod is paramount. Reggae, rock, funk, jazz, blues and good old fashioned experimental sounds make up their core style of jamming and getting lost in the moment.

Joined by The Groove Black, who's music conveys a laid back vibe laced with with psychedelic themes set to profound lyrics, becoming quite heavy at times, but always maintaining a pleasing aesthetic, and paying homage to an array of styles including grunge, alternative, funk, surf rock, southern rock, psychedelic, and reggae.
